About

This is my blog. If you hate over-regulation, taxes, needless state control, utter stupidity, bad services, anti-Britishness, anti-Americanism, Euro-federalism and political correctness, you’ve come to the right place.

Since 1997 the United Kingdom has suffered the madness of Labour government. The tax burden has risen to a level higher than Germany through stealth taxes including one which has drained £100 billion from pensions, immigration has hit record levels putting strain on services, cohesion, housing and the environment, while decisions are increasingly being taken by remote bodies such as Regional Assemblies, Central Government and the ever stronger European Union. The government plans to build three million houses, many on greenbelt.

Civil liberties are being eroded. We face hugely expensive ID cards, a National Database of Children viewable by 300,000 (which will become all people as they grow older), 11 year olds being finger printed and 266 reasons the State can enter your home. Vegen chefs can now be arrested for reading the names of dead soldiers by the Cenotaph.

No wonder record numbers are leaving.

This blog is a conservative blog. It will support the Conservative Party, but not be uncritical. Posts are in favour of private property rights, lower taxes, free market economics, British sovereignty, the rights of individuals, localism, the Union of Wales, England and Scotland, protection of the environment and countryside, better services through competition and the rights of victims over criminals. If you want a Britain where the streets are safe, the air clean, the taxes low and the countryside green, this is the blog for you.
